11 Months Old

11 Months
Ellis turned 11 Months on October 22, 2011. This month flew by! Ellis is more fun by the minute! We've been going, going, going!

Overall - Ellis is everywhere! Up the stairs, climbing on furniture and Bella, beating on the windows, standing in the refrigerator, opening the trash can, etc. His favorite past time is opening up the kitchen cabinets and pulling EVERYTHING out. He most enjoys pulling out the cookbooks. He can turn on the printer and has made copies of blank images. He loves looking at pictures, mostly of himself. :) He likes to take the swiffer and clean! If he can cook and clean and take out the trash, this will be great!!

Wearing - Still wearing 18/24 month clothing. Maybe we can stay in this size for a little while! Wearing Size 4 diapers still. Wearing size 4 shoes still (wide).

Eating - Still drinking our formula out of our bottle at home but starting to drink it out of a sippy cup at school. We tried whole milk mid-November but it didn't really work out that well for us. It is my goal to have him only on whole milk by Christmas. I better get popping! Ellis is loving Cheerios and bananas and the baby yogurt.

Sleeping - Ellis was sick this month so he crashed in our bed for about a week. Once he started feeling better he went back to his crib with no problems. One day he feel asleep on the way home from school/work around 5:30 pm and we laid him in his crib thinking he would wake up hungry. Around 9 pm I made sure he was still breathing (he was) and took his shoes off. He woke up at 5 am and wanted 2 bottles but he seemed fine! He's been going to bed around 8 or 8:15 pm and he normally starts stirring around 5:45 am but will sometimes stay in his crib until 6:30.

Walking - Ellis has taken many steps on his own. It has been fun watching him independently take his steps but he still cruises around the furniture. It seems like he has been reverting back to crawling some, but I don't see any worry that he is not running at this stage.

Personality - Ellis is a clown!! He wants to be the life of the party. We went out to dinner for my birthday and a lady next to us was ignoring Ellis but she started laughing at her companion and Ellis started laughing trying to get her attention. It is pretty cute since he wants to join in on the fun, the fake laugh is different from his real laugh. Ellis is also blowing kisses to pretty ladies. He has one teacher at school that he adores. Everytime he sees her he'll 'run' to her and if he sees her through a door or window he'll start beating on the door for her to get him. She told me that he blew her a kiss one day and I thought oh yeah right but as we were leaving she told him bye and he looked right at her and blew her one. Let's just say Mommy had her feelings hurt just a little bit. However, E quickly started blowing them at his Mommy too. :) At one of our sick visits, I told the pediatrician this and she said that normally babies start blowing kisses around 15 months so she was impressed at E's suaveness. hahha.

Talking - Ellis is babbling up a storm. He loves chatting to himself. He has said door, good, dog, dada, mama (when crying still), toy, hey (more like EH, EH).

Teeth - We have the bottom two still and four up top that are pretty much in. :)

Miscellaneous - Ellis is waving hi and bye. He loves to be tickled and laughs and laughs. He loves electronics - he'll point the remotes at the tv, he beats on the keyboard, he loves a good wireless mouse, he'll cry if you don't give him your cell phone, he loves playing with the printer. He loves turning on the bath water and turning the lights on and off. He loves shutting doors, especially if you are on the other side from him. He's mischievous and can already throw a mini tantrum - throwing the head back, flailing his arms and legs, crying and screaming. Who knows what the terrible two's will look like?!

Ellis loves going outside in the morning to check out the 'hood.

E loves his new ball pit (inflatable pool I bought on clearance and then bought some balls from Target)

Ellis loves his wagon!!

Happy Fall Y'all!

Sweet baby

Bella is the best big sister - so patient!

This big boy looks too big to be drinking from a bottle, but he loves them so!

If you can prop yourself up on the ottoman while watching Yo Gabba Gabba to drink your bottle, then you are too old to use a bottle! :)

My adorable birthday card!

At my birthday dinner at Surin, Brad and I had to make a speedy exit after our appetizers and my one martini after E started getting a little fussy!

Hey!

What's for dinner?

Hahhahahha!

Morning lookout

Good morning!

My two Grandmas keep me looking good!

Tap, tap, tap

Hey!

First incident report at new school - a nice shiner

Bella paying Ellis back while he was restrained. :)

How cute is this?! I felt like we were close to meeting the height requirement on the infant car seat so we upgraded to a big boy car seat that should hold us until he is 70 pounds!

Testing out his birthday present from us
