Patrick and Allie are engaged!!!!

On Friday night, October 30, 2009, Patrick (Brad's younger brother) popped the question to his girlfriend, Allie Etter in Auburn, Alabama. We were lucky enough to be included during this special evening. The Byrne family (Mr. Brad, Mrs. Ann, Brad and I, Patrick and Erin) had dinner at Provino's (party room!!) with The Etter family (Mr. and Mrs. Etter, Kristin and Matt, Allie, Sarah, and James). After everyone had finished their entrees, Julie (the sweetest photographer ever!) showed up under the guise of taking the Byrne Christmas card pictures. While Julie was snapping candid shots, the waiter brought in one dessert menu and handed it to Patrick. The dessert menu was passed around and eventually landed in Allie's hands. Allie took a few minutes to read the dessert menu, which Patrick had designed highlighting special dates and places in their relationship. Patrick and Allie then got up from the table and in front of their families, Patrick got down on one knee and proposed! It was so sweet and so special and we cannot wait for Allie to officially become part of the Byrne family!

Side note: Please check out Julie's blog for her beautiful pictures of the proposal. My 2005 Sony camera does not have the same clarity as her professional one!!

  2. Yay! I just love engagements. It is so sweet that you and Brad were able to share in their special moment. (Even if it meant having to be in Auburn)
